Lead Test Automation Engineer
Your responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate activities within the QA community across multiple teams
- Support QA engineers in stakeholder communication
- Assist in workload prioritization and task planning
- Define and monitor test coverage metrics
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate testing into the development lifecycle
- Create detailed test plans and test scenarios
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites
- Reduce reliance on manual regression testing
- Drive automation improvements through best practices
- Perform manual and exploratory testing when needed
- Participate in story refinement and test case analysis
- Review automation code and provide constructive feedback
- Share knowledge and contribute to QA best practices across teams
Employer requirements
- 5+ years of experience in test automation, preferably in international and cross-functional team environments
- 1+ year of experience in leading QA teams or QA communities
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies such as Scrum or XP
- Experience in performance testing
- Hands-on programming experience with Cucumber, Selenium, and Java
- Proficiency in API and/or frontend testing
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Git, Jenkins, Jira, Confluence)
- Experience working with BDD and Gherkin frameworks
- Solid understanding of manual testing concepts and the software development lifecycle
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
